TRACO Power TIM 2 and TIM 2SM Series DC/DC Converters are fully regulated 2W high-performance DC/DC converters with a reinforced 5000VACrms isolation for medical applications. The reinforced I/O-isolation system complies with the medical safety requirements for 2 × Means of Patient Protection (MOPP) according to IEC/EN/ES 60601-1 3rd edition. These converters feature less than 2μA leakage current and are designed to insulate electrical equipment from the applied parts to the patient (BF classification).
The TIM 2 and 2SM DC/DC converters operate within the extended –40°C to 95°C temperature range. These converters are available in compact footprint measuring only 0.95 x 0.57 x 0.40” and either a DIP-16 or SMD package. The TIM 2 and 2SM converters are suitable for B or BF rated medical equipment, industrial control equipment, measurement equipment, transportation systems, and some IGBT driver applications.
